Therefore, since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, through whom we have gained access by faith into this grace in which we now stand. And we rejoice in the hope of the glory of God.
Would you like to please God all the time? I like to think most people would say yes to this question. If that’s really what we want, it’s simpler to do than we think. The Bible says our faith pleases God. We are justified by our faith. Justified means the penalty for our actions has been set aside.
So in light of our faith, God has waived the death penalty that we deserve because of our sin.
God offers this waiver because he loves us and doesn’t want our sin to separate us from Him. We accept this offer through faith in what He says.
We believe, even though there’s no proof of our eternal reward other than His own words. Faith, in the absence of proof, is love.
Dear Lord, help me in my unbelief. Take my faith as an offering which pleases you and let my love for You grow. In Jesus name, amen.
